Luego del éxito mundial obtenido con su ultima placa "In Your Honor", el álbum doble donde demostraban todo su poderío en el lado eléctrico y su costado mas sensitivo en el CD acústico, la gran banda americana FOO FIGHTERS edita SKIN AND BONES el 7 de Noviembre, un documento en vivo grabado durante sus presentaciones en el Pantages Theater de Los Angeles.
Para SKIN AND BONES la banda contó con la participación de músicos invitados, tales como Petra Haden (violín), Rami Jaffee (teclados), Drew Hester (percusión) y Pat Smear (guitarra). En el álbum interpretan canciones de "In Your Honor", como también versiones de temas favoritos de la banda.
